The 1841 census record for the Ryder family; Robert is on the fourth line and shown as being aged 18.

For some reason, a second return was made, albeit showing slightly different details. Although this return shows the ship as being the “Sultan”, it is clear from the passenger lists (see below) that Sultana is correct.
