The following extract from Stephen Payne’s will dated October 13th 1725, written in English, has been included in the Court record:
I give and bequeath unto John Payne my Son and his Heirs
All & Singular other my Messuages, Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever, whether they be Freehold or Copyhold or of what other nature or kind soever
To hold to him the said John Payne, his Heirs and Assigns
To the use of him the said John Payne, his Heirs and Assigns for ever.
