Will of John Boddenham
The Court record includes the following paraphrase of part of John Boddenham’s will, dated May 3rd 1798:
… it appears to this Court that the said John Boddenham otherwise Bodney devised all his Messuages, Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever in Morley Saint Buttolph and Deopham in the County of Norfolk or in any other places near thereto and elsewhere with their Appurtenances unto Mary Dowe the Daughter of Elizabeth the late deceased Wife of James Dowe of Rockland,
To hold the same to the said Mary Dowe and her Assigns for the Term of her natural Life subject to the payment of twenty pounds per Annum to Bodney John Dowe the Son of the said Elizabeth Dowe …
Will of James Garthon
The following extract from the will of James Garthon dated January 20th 1797 has been included in the Court record:
I give and devise to my Nephew Joseph Say, Son of the said Joseph Say and Martha his Wife, my Sister,
All and every my Real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature of Tenure in the said County of Norfolk or elsewhere in the Kingdom of Great Britain,
To hold to him my said Nephew his Heirs and Assigns from and immediately after my Death.
