Extract from the will of Samuel Levold
The following extract from the will of Samuel Levold dated April 19th 1705 presented at the Court of October 30th 1705 has been included in the Court Roll, in English:
Know all men by these presents that I, Samuel Levold, Copyhold Tenant of the Manor of Deopham Hall in the County of Norfolk, Have constituted & appointed & by these do constitute & appoint Robert Gallard of Wymondham in the County aforesaid & John Lynes of the same Town, gentlemen my lawfull Attorney or Attorneys for me in my name at the next general of any other Court or Courts to be holden for the said Manor to surrender into the hands of the Lord & Lady, Lords or Ladys of the said Manor, All & every my Messuages, Lands, Tenements & Hereditaments whatsoever holden by Copy of Court Roll of the same Manor with the appertenances,
To the Use & behoof of Simon Bale of Wymondham aforesaid, husbandman, his heirs & Assigns for ever.
In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand & seal this nineteenth day of Aprill in the fourth year of the Queen Majesty’s Reign, A.D. 1705:
Samuel Levold sealed & delivered after the interlying of (to surrender) in the presence of Samuel Martin, Martha Levold, Susan Walter, William Martindall.
Extract from the will of Simon Bale
The following extract from the will of Simon Bale dated May 16th 1711 has been included in the Court Roll, in English:
My Estate of Eighteen pounds a year I give to my wife untill my Son John come to the Age of one & twenty years & when he have it, to pay five pounds a year out of it to his mother during her life & for want of such payment, She the said wife of Simon Bale shall enter upon the Estate
And in Case he die without heirs, to his Sister Betty.
