Francis Long’s acknowledgement of Satisfaction
The following document was entered in English into the Court record:
I Francis Long of Spixworth in the County of Norfolk Esquire, Doo hereby acknowledge to have had & received of Edward Sedley of the Parish of St Andrew Holborn, west London in the County of Middlesex, Oylman (devisee & surviving Executor of the last will & testament of John Sedley, late of Morley St. Peter in the County of Norfolk, esquire) Copyhold tenant of the Manor of Shadwells otherwise Cockerells in Morley, the Sume of Fifteen hundred pounds with all interest to the nine & twentieth day of September last past in full discharge & Satisfaction of the sume of Fifteen hundred Eighty two pounds & tenn Shillings … contained in a certain Condicionall Surrender of diverse Messuages, lands & Tenements late of him the said John Sedley … holden of the said … made by the said John Sedley in his lifetime to me the said Francis Long bearing date the 30th day of January 1705, As by the said Surrender may appear,
And also in full discharge & Satisfaccon of the said Conditionall Surrender
And I the said Francis Long do hereby desire & request that the above mentioned acknowledgement of Satisfaction may be entered in the Court Books or Rolls belonging to the said Manor & this shall be a sufficient warrant for so doing,

Extract from the will of Stephen Baldwyn
The following extract from the will of Stephen Baldwyn dated May 15th 1719 has been copied into the Court Roll in English:
Item:
I do hereby order & direct that all my lands, tenements & hereditaments whatsoever scituate, lying & being in Deopham & Morley in the said County of Norfolk in the use & occupation of Thomas Santor or his assigns with their & every of their appurtenances, shall as soon after my decease as conveniently they may or can be sold for the best price or prices can be gotten for the same by brother in law William Thurrold of Hingham in Norfolk, Grocer, & by my son Stephen Baldwyn, or by the Survivor of them, or by the Executor or Administrator of the Survivor of them, and the monys arising.
Extract from the will of John Smyth
The following extract from the will of John Smyth dated February 2nd 1720 has been copied into the Court Roll in English:
I give unto my Executors hereafter named my house, land & appurtenances thereunto belonging & also my good, chattles & personall Estate to be sold by them to pay my debts.
Defaulters
Those who had defaulted were amerced 3d each.
