Extract from the will of John Payne
The following extract from the will of John Payne, dated September 29th 1756, has been copied into the Court Roll:
And as to the Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with, I dispose thereof as follows, that is to say,
All and every my Messuages, Houses, Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments in Hingham in the County of Norfolk, or in any other Parish or Parishes, Place or Places, thereunto near or next adjoining or elsewhere in the said County,
I give and Devise unto the said Thomas Grigson Payne my Brother and his Heirs and Assigns for Ever, Upon and under certain Conditions in the said Will mentioned, as in and by the said Will may appear.
Defaulters
Those who had defaulted were amerced 3d each.
