Extract from the Confirmation of Samuel Gilman
The following extract from the deed of satisfaction written by Samuel Gilman dated July 2nd 1728 has been copied, in English, into the record of this Court:
I do hereby Acknowledge to have had & received upon the day of the date hereof of Edmund Stone the Summe of Twelve Pounds & Three Shillings in full Satisfaction & Discharge of All Money due to me upon a Conditional Surrender of the Manor of Shadwells otherwise Cockerells in Morley made to me by the said Edmund Stone,
And I do hereby Authorize and Desire the Homage and Steward at the next General Court Baron to be holden for the said Manor to fine and Enter Satisfaction of the said Surrender.

Extract from the will of Edward Payne
The following extract from the will of Edward Payne dated November 2nd 1680 has been copied, in English, into the record of this Court:
In the Name of God Amen;
I, Edward Payne:
Item: I give & Bequeath unto Edward Payne my Grandchild
All those four Inclosures of Land & Pasture which I purchased of one Leonard Newman lying & being in Deopham aforesaid,
To have and to hold the said premises and every of their Appurtenances unto him the said Edward PAyne during the Term of his naturall Life;
And after the decease of him the said Edward Payne,
To the Issue of his Body lawfully begotten & then living,
And for want of such Issue then to be living,
I Give & Bequeath
All these Premises with their Appurtenances unto Stephen & Joseph Payne my Grandchildren & to their Heirs for ever, Equally to be divided betwixt them
Extract from the will of Mary Briten
The following extract from the will of Mary Briten dated May 31st 1726 has been copied, in English, into the record of this Court:
I Do Declare my Intent and meaning to be that All my Messuages, Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever, both Freehold and Copyhold, Situate, Lying and being in Deopham in the County of Norfolk or in any Adjoyning other Town or Parish in the said County, Shall be sold by my Executor and Executrix hereinafter named or one of them, their Executors and Administrators or the Survivor of them or the Executors or Administrators of such Survivor as Soon after my decease as Conveniently may be for the best price that can or may be got for the Same And the Money Arising by Sale thereof etc.
And Did [sic] Nominate and Appoint John Briten and Mary Youngman her Daughter, Executor and Executrix of her said Will.
Extracts from the will of Edward Sedley
The following extract from the will of Edward Sedley dated March 2nd 1727 has been copied into the Court record, in English:
Item: I give and Devise unto my said Brother John Sedley
All that part of my said Capitall, Messuage or Tenement called Morley Hall as is now in my own possession
And also all that my Mannor of Morly with the Rights, Members and Appurtenances thereof (Except the Farm & Lands thereto belonging in possession of the said Henry Rogers
And also all that my Farm Situate and being in Morley Saint Peter and Morley Saint Buttolph aforesaid one of them late in the Tenure of occupation of Thomas Blackburne Senior or his Undertenants;
And also all those my two Woods and one Grove lying and being in Morley Saint Peter and Morley Saint Buttolph as one of them with all and Singular the Appurtenances thereunto belonging
To hold unto my said Brother John Sedley for and during the Term of his natural Life and no longer
But etc.
This second brief extract from the will of Edward Sedley dated March 2nd 1727 has also been copied into the Court record, in English, starting abruptly:
And for Default of Such Issue (Subject and Chargeable with the Several Annuities before mentioned)
I give and Bequeath the Same to my Nephew Henry Somner for and during the term of his natural Life;
And from and after etc.13
