Extract from the will of John Bousell
The following extract from the will of John Bousell dated December 12th 1800 has been included in the Court Roll:
Also, I give and devise unto my said Executors the said Thomas Kett, Thomas Back and William Hart and to their Heirs and Assigns,
All my Messuages, Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments situate, lying and being in Morley in the County of Norfolk which I bought of John Jackson and John Holmes containing Fifty five Acres of Freehold Land and which are now in the occupation of Stephen Hubbard at the Yearly Rent of Seventy three Pounds,
And also all those my Messuages, Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments situate, lying and being in Morley aforesaid containing about Forty acres of Land, two Cottages, a Barn and other Outhouses in the occupation of William Pitt,
And also all my Messuages, Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments in Ditchingham in case I shall not have compleated the Sale thereof according to my agreement with Henry Turney,
And also all my Messuages, Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments in the City of Norwich and County of Norfolk as well Freehold as Copyhold or of any other Tenure not herein before disposed of, with their and every of their Rights and Appurtenances,
To hold to them the said Thomas Kett, Thomas Back and William Hart, their Heirs and Assigns, in trust etc

- It has been noted in the margin that:-
“such parts of these Copyholds as were in the Open Fields of Morley are extinguished by the Morley Inclosure Act & the inclosed Copyholds are by the award of the Commissioners described anew & from March 11th 1815 the said Messrs Kett & Back were admitted under an award to 0a 3r 32p & 2a 0r 0p, declared to be Copyhold in lieu etc.,
And were also readmitted to their old copyholds by the new description & containing 9a 0r 8p.” ↩︎ - It has been noted in the margin that Rebecca Kyvett acknowledged tenure of these lands at the Court held on November 5th 1821. ↩︎
