| Mary Ann Dora Stephen Stoughton confirmed that the mortgage of £240 had been satisfied. On August 13th 1852, Charles Clarke, Copyhold tenant, surrendered to John Mitchell1 on payment of £2,450 to Augustine Earle Lloyd Buliver Clarke Stoughton & Thomas Dade; This sum included an older debt of £1,200 which arose on conditional surrender by Charles Clarke on October 17th 1829 to Edmund Farrer, which debt had become vested in Augustine Earle Lloyd Buliver Clarke Stoughton & Thomas Dade. The £1,200 included a still older debt of £600 dating from December 14th 1818 owed to William Jackson which had then become vested in Edmund Farrer | 1) Augustine Earle Lloyd Buliver and John White of 28, Bridge Row, Cannon Street, City of London; 2) Edward Boyce Pomeroy of Wymondham; trustees of the estate of John Mitchell | Not specified: the Court of May 9th 1853, when the raising of the £2,450 was recorded, described the property as “All and every the Messuages, Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever holden of this Manor by Copy of Court Roll”. |
