John Curson, (deceased) late of Palgrave in Suffolk, Innkeeper.
Will dated September 1st 1849 appointed Maria Curson, his wife, and Jeremiah Curson his brother as executor & executrix. Jeremiah Curson died June 30th 1851 without having sold John Curson’s lands so it was Jeremiah’s executors who had to dispose of these lands.

4) William Haythorpe of Ballington in Essex, Inland Revenue Officer and Jane his wife, late Jane Curson, Spinster;
5) Maria Curson of Old Buckenham, Widow;
6) Reuben Haythorpe of Plaistow in Essex, Clerk in the Victoria Docks and Hannah his wife, late Hannah Curson, Spinster and Samuel Evans of Malden in Essex, Carrier, and Hannah his wife, late Hannah Curson, Spinster;
7) Rev. George Henry Turner
8) Clarke Stoughton of Sparham, Gentleman
Sale price was £790 for the freehold and copyhold1 hereditaments.

  1. It was recorded the the Rev. George Henry Turner purchased both freehold and copyhold lands formerly of John Curson, inherited from Robert Curson. Considering that there are 10 acres of freehold land shown in the above map, owned by Robert Curson, adjacent to the copyhold land mentioned in the Court Roll, Rev. George Henry Turner probably acquired the ten acres as well. ↩︎
  2. A marginal note recorded that F.J. Ringer was admitted to this land at the Court held on January 19th 1895. ↩︎
  3. This debt was declared to the Steward of the Court to have been discharged in a document which was enrolled on March 11th 1896. ↩︎
