Footnotes

  1. It appears irregular that John Brunton was able to sell this land in 1885 when there was still an unpaid mortgage advanced to John Brunton from April 8th 1865. This mortgage was confirmed as satisfied on January 29th 1903 ↩︎
  2. There is no mention of a fine being paid when John Brunton unconditionally surrendered this land in 1885, despite the surrender being recorded in the Court Roll. Presumably therefore the purpose of this Court action was to obtain the fine that should have been requested and paid at that time. ↩︎
