Extract from the will of John Wright
The following extract from the will of John Wright dated August 13th 1615 has been included in English in the Court Roll:-
In the name of God, Amen.
I, John Wright,
Item: I give and bequethe unto Margaret my Wyfe and her assignes, All and Singuler my lande, tenements, Meddowes, pastures, Feedings and Hereditaments, Cutse, Freehold and copieholde, Scituate, lyinge and beinge in Deopham aforesayde and Morlye in the Countye of Norfolk, now in my occupacion;
And all my Lande and Tenements in Deopham aforesayde in Wyeklewoode in the Countye aforesayde now in the occupacion of Rychard Moher;
And also two Acres of Lande lyinge in Morlye aforesayde, now in the occupacion of one Robert Seman;
And also One Acre of Lande in Morlye aforesayde now in the occupacion of William Castellton, Clarke, or his assignes Henry Hobarte, Knight, Lorde of this Mannor, or his assignes;
And also all my Lande and Tenements in Morlye aforesayde now in the occupacion of William Castellton, Clarke, or his assignes (one Closse called Deyes Grove excepted)
To use and to holde all my sayde Messuages, lande, Tenements, Meddowes, pastures, Feedings and heredditaments aforesayde with all and singuler there appurtenances unto the sayde Margaret my Wyfe and her assignes for and duringe the Terme of her naturall lyfe mayneteyninge, keepinge & upholding all my seyde houses and buyldings in good sufficientt repair during the said term, and …thinge neyter Shypps nor waste uppon the seyde lande or tenements.
