Memorandum
That by an Indenture dated September 11th 1897 and made between
– Robert Thornhagh Gurdon of Letton Hall in the County of Norfolk, Esquire, Lord of the Manor of Shadwells otherwise Cockerells in Morley in the County of Norfolk of the one part, and
– William Allen of Deopham in the said County Farmer and Dealer of the other part,
For the consideration therein mentioned the said Robert Thornhagh Gurdon as beneficial owner granted, released and enfranchised unto the said William Allen and his heirs
All that piece of land containing 1 acre, 2 roods & 5 perches thereinbefore described, to which the said William Allen was admitted Tenant on July 19th 18882
Together with the rights reserved by Section 23 of the Copyhold Act of 1894,
To hold the said piece of land thereby enfranchised with the appurtenances as freehold thenceforth freed and discharged for ever thereafter from all quit rents and other rents, fines, suits and services which by the custom of the said Manor were or had been done, paid or performed in respect of the said hereditaments and premises unto the said William Allen and his heirs
To the use of the said William Allen, his heirs and assigns for ever.
