Introduction

This terrier is headed:

The document’s wrapper states that this terrar was “delivered in by the Tenant”, i.e. Anne Amyas. A renewal date in 1769 is mentioned above; the preceding lease was dated in 1767 and required the delivery of a terrar in the first year of the term and in the tenth year of the term.
