James Reynolds was baptised in Deopham Church on September 29th 1844, the son of William and Elizabeth (née Watson). In 1901, the census recorded him as living at Low Common with his wife, daughter and grandchildren.
The Norfolk News of June 26th 1909 carried the following article concerning the inquest into James Reynolds’ death for which the Rev. J.S. Treglown was foreman of the jury, as well as being the officiant at his funeral.
