The following abstract from the will of John Boddenham, also Bodney of Scoulton in Norfolk, Yeoman, has been taken from the Probate records for the Archdeaconry of Norwich. This entry is dated July 20th 1798; the executors are listed as

Extract from will in Court Records

The record of the Court of the Manor of Deopham Hall January 20th 1801 includes a paraphrase of part of this will which refers to a legacy to Bodney John Dowe which is not mentioned in the above Probate summary:-

  1. Mary Dowe became Mary Eldred following her marriage to Henry Eldred of Stowe, Farmer. This was noted in the Court record of August 18th 1814 where it is indicated that her legacy was 1 + 4 acres of land in Deopham. ↩︎
