Vicar of Deopham 1737 – 1760
He became vicar of Deopham after resigning in 1737 as Rector of Milton, near Canterbury. 1 He resigned the curacy of Thanington in Kent at the same time.
In 1741 he wrote to Dr. Shuckford who was a prebend at Canterbury cathedral apologising profusely for having made an error in his tax calculations in a previous letter where a figure of £13 should in fact have been £3 and so he writes “I humbly ask pardon for my inadvertency”.
