Induction at Hardingham
This announcement appeared in the Isle of Man Daily Times published on May 6th 1959:
This list of clergy from the church at Hardingham indicates that the Rev. Stephen Freshwater was the vicar of Hardingham at the time he was helping out at Deopham.
Involvement with Deopham
The Rev. Stephen Freshwater was Priest in Charge in Deopham following the departure of the Rev. Henry Gray until the arrival of Rev. Arthur Castle.
It is recorded that the Rev. Stephen Freshwater chaired PCC meetings from February 22nd 1960 until the Rev. Castle took his first PCC meeting on October 31st 1960, showing in the minutes the title “Priest in Charge”.
