Birth

Stephen was baptised along with his twin Alice on April 29th 1753:

Marriage

Stephen Taylor was married on January 26th 1768 in Gt. Ellingham to Sarah Howard.

Family

Stephen Taylor and his wife Sarah had two sons (Garrett Oddin and John, both of whom are mentioned in Stephen’s will). They also had three daughters Alice, Mary and Lydia. Mary is referred in his will as:

The other two daughters were still living at the time the will was written.

Grave

The following is an extract from the accounts book of John Brevator of Wymondham, a manufacturer of bricks and tiles; the bricks were ordered and delivered before his death:

Death

Bury and Norwich Post 17 February 1808:

There is no record of his burial in the Deopham Burial Registers (only two people were buried in Deopham that year). In view of his links to the Gt. Ellingham Baptist chapel, it is assumed that he was buried in their burial ground. This is now a private garden.
