Indenture of January 10th 1807.
This Indenture Tripartite made the Tenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand, eight hundred and seven between
– John Buckle of the City of Norwich, Esquire, of the first part;
– Aaron Lane of Hinghamin the County of Norfolk, Farmer, of the second part, and
– John Lane of Hingham aforesaid, Yeoman, of the third part,
Witnesseth that in Consideration of the Sum of two hundred and fifty pounds of lawful Money current in England to the said John Buckle in hand paid by the said Aaron Lane at or before the Execution of these presents, the receipt whereof the said John Buckle doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part thereof doth thereby acquit and discharge the said Aaron Lane his Heirs, Executors and Administrators;
He, the said John Buckle, hath bargained, sold, aliened, released and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, release and confirm unto the said Aaron Lane (in his actual possession now being by virtue of a bargain and sale for a year to him by the said John Buckle by Indenture bearing date he day before the day of the date of these presents and by him duly executed before the sealing and delivery thereof, and by force of the statute made for transferring uses into possession) and to his Heirs and Assigns,
All that piece of Land, Meadow and Pasture of him the said John Buckle containing by estimation five Acres in several Divisions with a Tenement or Dwelling House thereupon built, the same being formerly a Public House and called, or known by the name of, the Magpye with the Appurtenances situate, lying and being in Hingham in the County of Norfolk between
– the Highway called Stallons [sic] Lane or Cutts Lane on the part of the South, and
– the lands of the Manor of Hingham in part and the lands formerly of Francis Amyas, Gentleman, after that of George Roper, in part on the part of the north and
– abutteth upon the Common Pasture of Hingham aforesaid towards the East, and
–upon a way called Drog Way towards the West;
And also two several other pieces of Land, Meadow or Pasture of him the said John Buckle containing together by Estimation two roods and twenty five perches situate, lying and being in Hingham aforesaid and lying near or adjoining to the piece of Land first herein described;
Together with all Outhouses, Easements, Buildings, Rights, Ways, Liberties and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said Hereditaments and Premises belonging or in any wise appertaining or to or with the same now used, occupied or enjoyed or accepted, reputed or taken as part or parcel thereof;
As all the aforesaid premises now are in the Tenure, Possession or Occupation of the said Aaron Lane, his Assigns or Undertenants;
Which Premises were formerly the estate of Philip Pooley and together with other Hereditaments in and by certain Indentures of Lease and Release bearing date respectively the twenty ninth and thirtieth days of September one thousand seven hundred and four made between the said Philip Pooley and his wife Elizabeth of the one part and Edward North of the other part were duly granted and conveyed unto and to the use of the said Edward North, his Heirs and Assignsfor ever which said Edward North in and by his last will and Testament gave and devised the aforementioned premises unto Mary Stephenson, her Heirs and Assigns who in and by her last Will and Testament gave and devised the same unto her daughter Susanna Tann, her Heirs and Assigns, and by certain Indentures of Lease and Release bearing date respectively the third and fourth days of December one thousand seven hundred and ninety three and made between the said Susanna Tann of the one part and the said John Buckle of the other part, the same premises duly granted and conveyed unto the Use of the said John Buckle his Heirs and Assigns for ever.
And the Reversion and Reversions, Remainder and Remainders Yearly and other Rents, Issues and Profits thereof,
And all the Estate, Right, Title, Interest, Use, Trust, Inheritance, Property, Claim and Demand whatsoever, legal and equitable, of him the said John Buckle of, in or to the said hereditaments and premises and every of any part thereof with their Appurtenances.

Indenture of November 4th 1837.
This Indenture made the fourth Day of November One Thousand eight Hundred and thirty seven
Between
– Samuel Lock, late of Shipdham in Norfolk but now of Barton Bendish in Norfolk, Farmer;
– William Lock of Reymerstone in Norfolk, Farmer; and
– James Warren of Hingham in Norfolk, Carpenter;
(Executors and Trustees for Sale named in the last Will in Writing hereinafter recited of Aaron Lane formerly of Hingham aforesaid, Jobber, and late of Deopham in Norfolk, Farmer, deceased) of the first Part;
– James Gapp of Hingham aforesaid, Farmer, of the second part; and
– Edmund Gapp of Hingham aforesaid, Farmer (a Trustee to prevent the present or any future Wife of the said James Gapp from being entitled to Dower out of the Hereditaments hereby conveyed) of the third Part.
Whereas by an Agreement in Writing made the thirteenth Day of October One Thousand eight Hundred and thirty six between
– the said Aaron Lane of the one Part; and
– the said James Gapp of the other Part
Reciting that the said James Gapp had contracted with the said Aaron Lane for the absolute Purchase of the Messuage, Lands and Hereditaments hereinafter described and intended to be hereby conveyed at the price of Six Hundred and thirty five Pounds upon the Terms thereinafter set forth;
It is witnessed that in Consideration of the Sum of Thirty five Pounds of lawful British Money (part of the said Sum of Six Hundred and thirty five Pounds) by the said James Gapp before the signing of the Agreement now in Recital, paid to the said Aaron Lane whose Receipt thereof is acknowledged and thereon endorsed.
And in Consideration of the further Sum of Six Hundred Pounds (Remainder of the said Sum of Six Hundred and thirty five Pounds) to be paid to thesaid Aaron Lane, his Executors or Administrators by the said James Gapp, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators of Assigns on the eleventh Day of October last.
He the said Aaron Lane did thereby for himself, his Heirs, Executors and Administrators agree with the said James Gapp, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns that he the said Aaron Lane or his Heirs and all other Persons lawfully claiming any Estate, Right, Title, Trust or Interest into or out of the said Messuages, Lands and Hereditaments thereinafter particularly described and intended to be hereby conveyed would effectually convey and assure the said James Gapp, his Heirs or Assigns or unto such other Person or Persons and his or her or their Heirs as he the said James Gapp, his Heirs or Assigns should appoint.
All the Messuages, Lands and Hereditaments hereinafter particularly described, and intended to be, hereby conveyed and free from all Incumbrances whatever, Except
– the Annual Land Tax of Sixteen Shillings;
– the Annual Free Rend of two Shillings and sixpence to the Lord of the Manor of Hingham; and
– the Annual Free Rent of one shilling and four Pence to the Lord of the Manor of Hingham Gurneys
to grow due for the said Premises from the eleventh Day of October last.

All that piece of Freehold Land, Meadow and Pasture formerly of John Buckell and late of the said Aaron Lane, containing by Estimation five Acres in several Divisions with a Tenement or Dwellinghouse thereupon built, the same being formerly a Public House and called by the Name of the Magpye with the Appurtenances situate, lying and being in Hingham aforesaid between
– the Highway called Stallons Lane or Cutts Lane, South; and
– the Lands of the Manor of Hingham in Part and the Lands formerly of Francis Amis [Amyas?], Gentleman, after that of George Roper in part, North; and
– abutt upon the late Common Pasture of Hingham aforesaid, East; and
– upon a Way called Drag Way, West .
And also two several other Pieces of Freehold Land, Meadow or Pasture formerly of him the said John Buckell and late of the said Aaron Lane containing together, by Estimation, two Roods and twenty five Perches, situate, lying and being in Hingham aforesaid and lying near or adjoining to the Piece of Land first herein described.
As all the aforesaid Premises later were in the Occupation of the said Aaron Lane or his Undertenants and are now in the Occupation of the said James Warren, William Moon and Harriet Moon;
Which premises were Conveyed unto and to the Use, or for the Benefit, of the said Aaron Landf and his Heirs by Indentures of Lease and Release dated respectively the ninth and tenth Days of January, One Thousand eight Hundred and seven, the Release being made between
– John Buckell of Norwich, Esquire, of the the first Part and
– the said Aaron Lane of the second Part and
– John Lane of Hingham aforesaid, Yeoman, of the third Part.
And also all other the Messuages, Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments whatever of him the said Aaron Lane in Hingham aforesaid at the Time of his Decease.
And also all that piece of freehold Land in Deopham aforesaid marked on the Map annexed to the Award of the Commissioners No. 3 containing by Measure One Acre two Roods and eighteen Perches with a newly erected Messuage and other Buildings standing thereon as the same were by the Award of the said Commissioners allotted to the said Aaron Lane and bounded by
– Land allotted to William Jolly, North;
– Land allotted to Richard Jolly in Part East;
– Land allotted to John Lane in part South and on the remaining part of the East;
– the Wymondham Road or Palloway on the remaining part of the South; and
– the Parish of Hingham West.
And also all Houses, Edifices, Buildings, Barns, Stables, Yards, Gardens, Orchards, Trees, Woods, Underwoods, Mounds, Fences, Hedges, Ditches, Ways, Paths, Wells, Watercourses, Lights, Easements, Privileges, Profits, Emoluments, Advantages, Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said Messuages, Lands, Hereditaments and Appurtenances hereby conveyed or intended so to be or to any Part thereof belonging or in anywise appertaining.

And the said James Gapp doth hereby declare that his present or any other Wife who may happen to survive him shall not be entitled to any Dower in, to or out of the said Freehold Hereditaments and Premises hereby conveyed and assured or intended so to be of any of them, or any Part thereof.
And this Indenture further witnesseth that in further Pursuance of the said recited Agreements, and for the Consideration aforesaid, They the said Samuel Lock, William Lock and James Warren have each and every of them hath, bargained, sold, absolutely disposed of conveyed and assured, And by these Presents Do, and each and every of them Doth, bargain, sell, absolutely dispose of, convey and assure unto the said James Gapp, his Heirs and Assigns,
All that piece of Copyhold Land in Deopham aforesaid marked on the Map annexed to the Award of the Commissioners for enclosing Lands in Deopham aforesaid No. 2 containing two roods and thirty Perches bounded by
– Land allotted to the said Aaron Lane, West and North; and
– Land allotted to Richard Jolly in part East;
– Land allotted to Robert Herring Esquire in part South; and
– on the remaining part of the East by the Wymondham Road or Palloway;
– on the remaining part of the South.
Which said two Roods and thirty Perches are parcel of the Manor of Deopham Hall and the said Aaron Lane was admitted tenant thereto and his Heirs at a General Court held for the said Manor on the eighth Day of June, One Thousand eight Hundred and fifteen upon the absolute surrender of John Lane.
In witness whereof the said Parties to these Presents have hereunto set their Hands and Seals the Day and Year first above written:

This Indenture made the Thirteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty six
Between
– James Gapp of Hingham in Norfolk, Farmer, opr the one part, and
– Jeffery Sumpter Coy of the parish of Saint MAry in the City of Norwich, Gentleman, of the other part.
Whereas the said James Gapp being seised or otherwise well entitled for an absolute estate of inheritance in fee simple in possession at Common Law and according to the custom of the Manor of Deopham Hall respectively of or to the freehold and Copyhold hereditaments hereinafter particularly mentioned, free from incumbrances (except Land tax and the annual Free rents of Two shillings and sixpence to the Lord of the Manor of Hingham and one shilling and fourpence to the Lord of the Manor of Hingham Gurneys) has this day borrowed of the said Jeffery Sumpter Coy the sum of Four hundred pounds upon an agreement to secure the repayment thereof with interest at the rate of Five pounds per centum per annum by the covenant of him the said James Gapp for that purpose and a Mortgage of the said hereditaments in manner hereinafter appearing:
Now this Indenture witnesseth that in pursuance of the said agreement and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred pounds Sterling by the said Jeffery Sumpter Coy this day lent and paid to the said James Gapp who doth hereby acknowledge the he hath received the same sum and doth hereby release and discharge the said lender thereof and his representatives from the same.
He the said James Gapp for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators doth hereby covenant with the said Jeffery Sumpter Co, his executors, administrators and assigns that he the said James Gapp, his heirs, executors or administrators will pay unto the said Jeffery Sumpter Coy, his executors, administrators or assigns the sum of Four hundred pounds Sterling and also half a year’s interest for the same at the rate of Five pounds per centum per annum on the Thirteenth day of April next and in case the said sum of Four hundred pounds shall not be then paid accordingly, will thenceforth until the same money shall be paid or satisfied, pay unto the said Jeffery Sumpter Coy, his executors, administrators or assigns interest after the rate aforesaid for the same sum or for so much thereof as shall from time to time remain owing by equal half yearly payments on the Thirteenth day of April and the Thirteenth day of October every year.
And this Indenture also witnesseth that in further pursuance of the said recited agreement and for the consideration aforesaid,
He the said James Gapp as well in exercise and execution of any and every power enabling him in this behalf as also in respect of his estate and interest in the hereinafter mentioned freehold hereditaments
Doth hereby irrevocably direct, limit and appoint and also grant and convey unto the said Jeffery Sumpter Coy, his heirs and assigns
All that piece of Freehold Meadow Land formerly of John Buckle, afterwards of Aaron Lane and now of the said James Gapp containing by estimation Five acres in several divisions with a tenement or dwellinghouse thereupon built, formerly a public house and called “The Magpye” with the appurtenances situate in Hingham aforesaid, between the Highway called Stallons Lane, or Cutts Lane, South, and the lands of the Manor of Hingham in part and the lands of ______ in part North and abutting upon the late Common PAsture of Hingham aforesaid East and upon a Dragway West,
And also all those two other pieces of Freehold Meadow Land formerly of the said John Buckell and afterwards of the said Aaron Lane and now of the said James Gapp containing together by estimation two roods and twenty five perches in Hingham aforesaid, adjoining the first described piece of Land;
And also all that piece of freehold Land in Deopham in Norfolk allotted by the award of the Deopham Inclosures Commissioners to the said Aaron Lane marked Number 3 on the Map annexed to the same award and containing one acre two roods and eighteen perches, together with the messuage and other buildings now standing thereon;
And also all houses, outhouses, buildings, trees, underwood, hedges, ditches, fences, ways, paths, passages, lights, drains, land, rights, easements and appurtenances whatsoever to the aforesaid freehold hereditaments, or any of them, belonging, or in any wise appertaining.

And this Indenture further witnesseth that in pursuance of the said recited agreement and for the consideration aforesaid, he, the said James Gapp, doth hereby for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators covenant with the said Jeffery Sumpter Coy, his executors, administrators and assigns that he the said James Gapp or his heirs and all other necessary parties (if any) will forthwith well and effectually surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor of Deopham Hall according to the Custom thereof,
All that piece of Copyhold Land in Deopham aforesaid, formerly of the said Aaron Lane, marked Number 2 on the said Map annexed to the said award, and containing two roods and thirty perches,
Together with all hedges, ditches, fences, ways, waters, watercourses, rights, privileges, easements and appurtenances whatsoever to the said Copyhold hereditaments belonging, or in anywise appertaining;
And all the estate and interest of the said James Gapp in the said Copyhold hereditaments and premises and every part thereof
To the Use of the said Jeffery Sumpter Coy, his heirs and assigns according to the Custom of the said Manor, by and under the accustomed rents, fines and services, and subject to a condition for making void the said surrender corresponding with the provision for redemption hereinbefore contained.
And it is hereby agreed and declared by the said James Gapp that if he, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns shall make default in payment of the said sum of Four Hundred pounds on the interest for the same or any part thereof respectively on the Thirteenth day of April next it shall be lawful for the said Jeffery Sumpter Coy, his executors, administrators or assigns at any time or times thereafter without any further consent or concurrence on the part of the said James Gapp, his heirs or assigns to sell the aforesaid freehold and copyhold hereditaments and premises, either together or in parcels and either by public auction or private contract, with full power to buy in or rescind any contract for sale of the same without being responsible for any loss which may be occasioned thereby and to do and execute all such acts and assurances for effecting any such sale as the vendor or vendors may think fit.
