The Wymondham Archive holds a draft “Be it remembered” document which has been confirmed by all relevant parties – ref 82/109. This says that on November 22nd 1901 Thomas Rowing Fendick came before Thomas Down Pettiver, Deputy Steward for this purpose only, and in consideration of the sum of £60 paid to Edward Boyce Pomeroy of Wymondham and John Rolfe of Carleton Forehoe paid by Walter Charles Allen, did surrender … all that piece of land marked no 80 comprising 3 acres and 16 perches … to the use of Walter Charles Allen …
