At the time of the 1843 tithe analysis, Ivy Cottage was owned by John Curzon and occupied by Richard Colman and John Baker. There was no tithe due to the vicar, but they had to pay a tithe to the “appropriators” (Dean and Chapter of Canterbury or the Manors) of 10 pence per annum.
