1813 Auction

Prior to the auction of John Bousell’s estate by his executors, this must have been one of the largest farms in the village with 186 acres of land extending from Park Lane through to the Wymondham road.
The following advertisement appeared in the Norfolk Chronicle dated August 7th, 1813, listing Francis Read as the tenant:

These particulars contain eight “Conditions of Sale”. Most are standard, apart from the sixth:

The 1815 Survey of Deopham includes the “Estate of the late John Bousell” which it shows as having been sold in separate lots as follows:
