Background
For many years this cottage and the adjacent houses were part of a plot surrounded by land belonging to the Half Moon Pub and Blacksmith’s. This piece of land was known by the 1814 Inclosures Commission as “Piece 126”: a separate page here charts the history of that plot up to the point where it started to fragment.
1984 – Separation of Threeways Cottage
On January 20th 1984 John Moore and his wife Anita sold the right hand half of the cottage to John Skipper and his wife Alison. The property sold was described as follows:
All that piece or parcel of freehold land situate in the Parish of Deopham … forming part of the O.S. No 57,
Together with the dwellinghouse erected thereon or on some part thereof and known as Three Ways, The Green, Deopham.

Following some complexity over property that John Moore had purchased in his own name and then transferred to joint ownership with his wife Anita, a separate transaction at the same time as the above transferred the land behind Threeways Cottage:-
