The 1843 tithe survey lists piece no 517 as being “Cock Lane”; the 1842 map which formed the basis of the tithe survey shows piece 517 running up the side of Willow Farm towards the southern stump of Baylam Lane (the rest of Baylam Lane was closed off during the 1814 Inclosure awards):

The Court of the Dean & Chapter of Canterbury held October 22nd 1678 referred to a group of copyhold tenants being fined for not looking after Cock Lane and Belon Lane. It is reasonable to assume that Belon Lane was yet another spelling variation of Baylam Lane; this 1678 record indicates that the two lanes were distinct, rather than different names for the same entity.
Note
The Marriage Settlement of Sarah Amyas to John Callender refers to a Cock Lane near the Stalland, but in Hingham – see the fifteenth property listed n the settlement. This is clearly a different Cock Lane.
