The following text (in English) has been imbedded in the record of this Court:
In the name of God, Amen.
I Edmund Borman of Deopham in ye County of Norffolk
I give, devise & bequeath all & singular my Messuages, houses, lands, Tenements and grounds and hereditaments, as well freehold & charterhold as coppyhold & customary tenure, scituate, lying & being in ye parish of St Peters of Mancroft in ye Citty of Norwich,
And alsoe in Greate Plumstead, Little Plumstead, Witton, Postwick in ye said County of Norffolke, & in Thorpe next Norwich;
And alsoe those in Deopham aforesaid & in everie & any of them which are not heretofore by use settled & which I have power & liberty to dispose of with their & every of theire rights, members and appurtenances whatsoever unto ye said William Sedley my greate grandchild, & to his heires for ever;
Neverthelesse, my mind & will is, & I doe hereby declare it soe to be, That if ye said William Sedley my greate grandson shall dye & departe this life before ye time or terme of yeares be expired, That ye said Messuages, lands, Tenements, hereditaments & premisses are herein after given & devised to my Executor herein after named for ye payment & performance of ye Legacys in this my last will & Testament given & bequeathed; Then I give, devise & bequeath all & singular the said Messuages, houses, lands, Tenements, yards, grounds, hereditaments and premises with their appurtenances unto ye aforesaid Edmund Sedley & to his heres for ever, this my will or any thing herein conteyned to the contrary thereof in anywise notwithstanding.
