Extract from the will of Ismael Bubin
The following extract from the will of Ismael Bubin dated November 9th 1610 has been copied into the Court Roll in English:
Item: I give and bequeath all my messuages, landes, tenementes and hereditamentes in Deopham aforeseyd or ellse where now in my occupatyon with all and singular there appurtenances unto Frances my wyffe and to her assignes duringe the terme of her naturall life towardes the bringing up of my children.1

Footnotes
- The scribe appears to have continued to copy too much out of the will since the next sentence has been crossed out, presumably because it was not relevant to the copyhold lands which occupied this Court. It is interesting though because it gives an indication of the size of the whole premises. The suppressed, incomplete, sentence is:-
“And after my seyd wyffe’s decease, … I give and bequeath my house wherein I now dwell and the … adjoyning Estate … conteyning by estimatyon five acres …”.
