Introduction

This was a substantial Court implementing the changes of the Morley Inclosures Act1 in so far as they affected the lands of this Manor.
Since by definition these lands are Morley lands, the treatment given on this page is generally in summary form. The information on this page is relevant to Deopham in that many of the landowners mentioned were also owners of land in Deopham.
The Commissioners’ discussions of what is and isn’t copyhold have not been included.
The many marginal notes concerning subsequent ownership have not been transcribed.
