The following extract from the will of Robert Roper dated March 2nd 1644 has been copied into the Court Roll in English:-
Item. I give and devise unto George Roper my brother and to his heires and Assignes for ever all my messuages, lands, tenements and hereditaments as well freehold & chrehould as coppiehould and …………………… scituate, lyinge & beinge in Deopham in the County of Norfolk.
